Labor Day





Labor Day, the end of summer:(
I worked ,away from home today while Bob was on the farm.The morning started with a crisp breeze, at the days end the sun was shining. Bob and I took Lager for a nice wagon ride with the team. Lots of fun "stuff"upcoming. If you plan to attend any of the fall "stuff"give me a haul la as we have only one quest room.

Cultivating Community's 20 Mile Meal, the most mouth-watering and conscience-raising food event in Southern Maine, will take place on Sunday, October 3, 2010. The fourth annual 20 Mile Meal will once again bring together the top area chefs in a friendly challenge to create their most inventive and tasty dishes using only produce, fish, or meat grown, raised, or landed within 20 miles of the farm.

The $35.00 admission ($18.00 for students/elders) includes a tasting of the freshly-prepared foods, entertainment, and farm tours. All proceeds benefit Cultivating Community, a local non-profit that operates youth and community development and education programs focused on sustainable agriculture and eliminating hunger.
