Fit for a pig ...

Not just any pig.

Boogie got a new condo today. It is a 1 bed room with mud room. Daddy insulated the heck out of it,floor walls and roof. He can now go in turn around and tuck in away from the weather. The house is built so well it had to be hoisted over the pig pen . The two of us could not lift it so we had to put eye hooks and straps and lift in place with the tractor. Just in time tonight we had the first snow flurry.

Club Members

More Belgians nad Rocco , a big hit at the fair with his fall sweater.

Fun for all

The Oktoberfest was interesting. I had never before seen a bean pot hole. On Saturday they made a hot fire and berried a bean pot and today they dug up baked beans. Leo brought over his cider press. The 4h brought some animals and best of all lots of club members brought Belgians.

Getting Ready

This is Oktoberfest weekend at the club. Saturday members worked to prep. Sunday the event will be open to the Public. Jess,Joe Rocco and Mikey are here .

Full Moon

Bob left for Ma. at 4:30 so I had to get all the animals up and out by 6:30 .Each dog x5 takes at least 5 min so,if you start at 6 you work by moon light.

Wild side

Found what I think is a deer track in the potato field. I'm not sure what this bird is in the tree, he is bigger then Mieces and Pieces.

Octoberfest

Sunday is October fest at the Draft horse club. So this week we are working on the potato harvest. I will make baked potatoes with "the works" and corn chowder, to be sold at the fair.

What a good boy!

Nick did so good. He took Daddy for a very long ride . Then he hosted his horse friends back at the house. Dicks horses cooled down in the side yard, before going back in the trailer.

Nick had company

We were decorating, when our friends drove up with trailer . Nick had company!Dick came over, with his wife and the four legged family members. We were to introduce Nick to some"horses". He did awesome! He and Bob waited on Duke Lane while we tacked the others then we went for Bobs first ever trail ride.

WOW What a wonderful day to be in Maine.

The trees look wonderful and the land is awesome. What a day. we got chores done early and took the '67 out for coffee, then back home. We did some decorating...

"You Have One Of Those"

Over the 20 years that we have had Rottweilers Bob and I have herd a number of times the prejudice. We have always believed breeding and training made the dog. Today when I got home I entered the barn and the first thing I spotted was the scary Rottweiler.

The Club

The club house , is looking less deserted. The mowing Bob did made a nice change. I have "started" decorating the porch, plan to finish Saturday.

Working on A Day Off

Bob and I had a nice "day off". Every one was up and out early. Then we went to Tractor Supply and purchased a bush hog, for the pastures. Bob and Leo , lifted it out of the truck and worked on the install.I scrubbed buckets and kennels. The men had to take a second trip to Tractor Supply , for oil(you would think for the $ it would come lubricated). While they were gone , I took Nick for a trail ride. Nick was awesome ,although he, was not happy with the number of puddles. If you look at the pictures closely you can see he broke a sweat, that is from brain power not horse power. Bob tested the machine by cutting the club field.
