Or should I say MEAT Christmas...
This is my new calf, I named her"Christmas". She is meant to be the gift that keeps giving. My Mom gifted me the money to purchase her, and when I send  her to market in 18 months I plan to give 1/2 of her away as gifts for Christmas.

Baby Steps

Bob has been working each and every night with Charm. For the most part the work has been long line. Tonight is the first time Charm has been under saddle on our farm. He did try to ditch Bob under the run in, but Bob stayed on and all is well..

A Birthday Dinner

With all the changes and additions (Charm) to the farm I was unable to do a big flashy Birthday gift for Bob. So yesterday we did lobster rolls by the ocean and today surf and turf. Sometimes it is just nice to have time together.

Water Haulin' Simplified

One the most time consuming chore I have is hauling water second only to hauling manure. Hauling waster just got easier.

Big Horses Big Hooves

Every six to eight weeks we have a scheduled visit from our farrier. Yesterdays visit was met with more than usual anticipation, the first trim for Charm, sense his arrival here. When Charm arrived he was NOT as advertised "good with feet". Bob has worked every night, in preparation for Matt's visit, and the hard work paid off. All three Belgians were well behaved and no one was hurt.  Thank god
this is Nickels back hooves:-)
