This is one you might want to pack away for February 14th.  And skip the reservations. Pan seared scallops in wine and lemon reduction.
This is a meal that you can shop for without a cart and serve to special friends..
1 # lb scallops
1Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp evoo
Flour and peprika
1 lemon
3/4 c wine white

Clean scallops pat dry and coat with flour and peprika
Heat extra v olive oil and butter in pan
Place scallops in pan cook 3 min each side Med heat
Cook in batches if need be do not croud
Remove from pan
Add 3/4 c wine to pan still Med. High heat
Juice of one lemon
Reduce by half
Serve over scallops
I served with rice and steamed green beans

Sounds wonderful! Even if the parents won't share any with us...

The parents never do anything for Valentines Day. They don't do crowds and that gooshy stuff. Why should they when they shower us with all their love.
