What is it??????
The garden flox, transplanted from my Mom's house are amazing! These plants are 3-5' tall, and smell wonderful.Today they had a visitor, at first glance Bob and I thought it was a Humming bird, but no maybe a bee? Any idea?

That is a Hemaris thysbe. We have them in Carver and Plymouth now too.
"Adults are frequently mistaken for hummingbirds or bees because of their fast-moving wings and coloration. They have a two inch wingspan.
The caterpillars eat viburnum, hawthorn, honeysuckle, and a few types of fruit trees."
